Oracle EPM Functional Consultant Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Oracle FCCS Consultant to support ongoing application maintenance, enhancements, and continuous improvements. The role focuses on development, production support, and stabilization of FCCS applications, ensuring smooth financial close operations.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Enhancements
Design and develop FCCS configurations, rules, and calculations
Build and enhance:
Metadata (dimensions, hierarchies)
Business Rules (Calculation Manager)
Data Forms and Task Lists
Implement change requests, enhancements, and defect fixes
Optimize system performance and calculation efficiency
Production Support (AMS / BAU)
Provide L2/L3 support for FCCS applications
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles
Troubleshoot and resolve:
Data load issues
Consolidation errors
Intercompany mismatches
Monitor system jobs, data integrations, and workflows
Ensure SLA adherence and timely issue resolution
Data Integration & Management
Manage data loads using Data Management / FDMEE
Maintain data mappings, transformation rules, and validations
Reconcile data between source systems and FCCS
Reporting & Analysis
Support and enhance financial reports and Smart View templates
Assist business users with ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and fixes
Identify and implement automation and process improvements
Support patching, upgrades, and regression testing
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle FCCS (EPM Cloud)
Expertise in:
Calculation Manager (Rules, Scripts)
Essbase concepts
Data Management / FDMEE
Smart View
Experience with:
Intercompany eliminations & consolidation logic
Currency translation and ownership management
Knowledge of EPM Automate / scripting (preferred)
Functional Skills
Strong understanding of:
Financial Close & Consolidation processes
P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
Familiarity with IFRS / US GAAP reporting
Ability to analyze and resolve finance-related data issues
Support & Process Skills
Experience in AMS / Production Support model
Knowledge of:
Incident, Problem, and Change Management
SLA/KPI-driven support environments
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder interaction
Ability to handle pressure during close cycles
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Experience Requirements
10+ <14 years of experience in Oracle EPM / FCCS
Strong experience in support + enhancement projects (AMS)
Experience handling production issues independently
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to other EPM modules (Planning, ARCS, EDMCS)
Oracle EPM Cloud certifications
Experience with automation and scripting
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, IT, or related field
CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) is a plus
