Job Description

The Oracle ERP & SCM Cloud Account Architect will serve as a strategic technology and business advisor for our growing portfolio of Oracle SaaS customers, ensuring they continuously realise value from their Oracle ERP and SCM investments. This role is designed for an experienced Oracle delivery consultant who wants to move beyond traditional “one project at a time” work and step into a broader position—supporting a portfolio of customers, mentoring internal teams, shaping solution strategy, and driving revenue growth.

This individual will become a trusted advisor, a solution visionary and a capability builder, bridging presale, projects and ongoing managed services to give customers and exceptional end to end lifecycle experience.

1. Customer Solution Leadership
• Act as the primary Oracle solution authority for a portfolio of customers, ensuring continuous optimisation of Oracle ERP.
• Recommend enhancements, new features, and emerging capabilities to modernise and simplify operations.
• Build long-term strategic relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for roadmaps and ERP and SCM transformation.
• Review service request trends to identify recurring issues, automation opportunities, user enablement needs and process improvements.

2. Driving Innovation & New Oracle Functionality
• Stay up to date on Oracle Cloud ERP and SCM releases, new features and roadmap updates.
• Assess new updates and communicate their relevance to customers and internal teams.
• Represent Oracle capability at industry events and contribute to thought leadership.
• Lead internal enablement sessions on new functionality and deployment best practices.
• Identify opportunities for customers to adopt new capabilities that increase efficiency, reduce cost or support compliance.

3. Internal Talent Growth & Support
• Mentor and coach consultants to progress into higher‑value functional or architectural roles.
• Guide analysts on solution patterns, root cause analysis and best‑practice configurations.
• Support competency development with reusable assets, frameworks and reference architectures.

4. Presales Support & Bid Shaping
• Partner with sales and delivery leadership on opportunity qualification and solution shaping.
• Provide solution assurance and continuity from presales through delivery into managed services.
• Participate in sales pitches, workshops, demos and estimation activities.
• Present approaches that highlight expertise, scalability and long‑term value.

5. Delivery & Quality Assurance
• Support escalated incidents or complex changes with architectural guidance (minimal hands‑on build).
• Ensure design consistency, alignment with Oracle leading practices and simplification.
• Review key solution artefacts, configurations and design documents when assurance is required.

6. Business Growth & Commercial Awareness
• Work with Customer Success, Account Management and delivery leads to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Recommend enhancements or modules that provide mutual value.
• Contribute to thought leadership, internal IP creation and service offering improvement

Functional & Technical Competence

  • Deep expertise across Oracle ERP Cloud (Financials, Procurement, Projects, Supply Chain, or a combination).
  • Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, integrations, and leading practices.
  • Experience in end‑to‑end ERP delivery, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.

Consulting & Communication

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills—able to translate technical concepts into business value propositions.
  • Proven ability to build trust with customers and serve as their long-term ERP advisor.
  • Skilled in managing multiple customers simultaneously while maintaining quality and responsiveness.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Experience guiding or supporting junior consultants.
  • Desire to help others grow and contribute to a high-performing managed services team.
  • Passion for knowledge sharing and enabling others to thrive.

Strategic & Commercial Mindset

  • Ability to identify opportunities within customer challenges.
  • Strong presales involvement or interest in developing presales skills.
  • Comfortable influencing customer roadmaps and internal business strategy.
