Proven troubleshooting experience across RAC, ASM, Exadata infrastructure, performance tuning, and Oracle Data Guard (physical and logical), including Data Guard Broker. Experience with Exadata full‑stack patching and upgrades is desired.
Security expertise: Understanding of security best practices and compliance related to databases that are essential for securing databases and protecting against cyber threats.
Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for diagnosing and resolving database issues efficiently.
Communication skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are important for collaborating with team members, documenting system configurations, and providing technical support to end users.
Experience with automation scripts, problem solving, Container Databases (CDB) and Pluggable Databases (PDB).
It’s a bonus if you have
Proficiency in PostgreSQL database technologies, hands-on experience in performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, and replication.

Experience supporting on‑premises environments as well as cloud‑based deployments (including managed PostgreSQL services).
Working knowledge of command-line utilities, Linux file systems, networking, and PostgreSQL security features.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, Ansible, OEM and AIOps.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) or Oracle Certified Specialist (OCS) are looked at favorably.
