Main Purpose
We are looking for an accomplished Business Analyst with in-depth experience in requirements gathering and detailed business process analysis to support the delivery of complex software development projects. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for understanding and validating business cases for change, conducting business process analysis, and defining business and functional requirements across design, testing, and go-live activities. The work will span multiple projects within the trading division. The candidate will manage relationships and expectations with business stakeholders and sponsors, and support development and testing teams throughout the entire delivery lifecycle. The candidate is expected to apply structured analysis and problem-solving skills even in areas where they may not initially have deep business domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities (Oracle BA Localization)
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Oracle LATAM localization, covering country-specific requirements across tax, e-invoicing, fiscal reporting, and statutory compliance for markets including Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Colombia, including but not limited to the items below.
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from regional stakeholders, translating them into functional specifications for Oracle Cloud implementation and support teams.
Own BAU delivery and product support for Oracle On-Premises and Oracle Cloud ERP applications.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders.
Oversee all SCM, OM, and Finance-related configuration and design changes going into production through the CAB review and approval process.
Analyze functional features in Oracle's quarterly patch cycles and provide product support for On-Premises and Cloud ERP applications.
Clearly articulate target business processes, business requirements, and functional design to enable change.
Support development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Support quality assurance teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Support change management and training teams in preparing business stakeholders for process and functional change.
Provide third-line support for production issues.
Coach and mentor vendor functional team members within the assigned workstream.
Participate in Oracle's quarterly Release Update (RU) cycles by reviewing release notes, assessing LATAM localization impact, coordinating regression testing, and communicating outcomes to stakeholders.

Experience & Core Capability
Proven ability to act as a bridge between the business and highly technical developers located in remote offices, translating business concepts into implementable requirements.
10+ years of business analysis experience, specifically in the implementation and support of Oracle ERP Financials and Supply Chain — preferably within the commodity trading or energy domain.
Broad knowledge of commodities trading, ideally physical commodities.

Experience defining requirements for interfaces between application components or systems, and supporting their development and testing.
Able to self-manage, and to regularly prioritize and plan activities across multiple project workstreams.
Solid understanding of business processes and associated technology.
Works effectively within an inclusive team and actively supports the development of individuals and teams, both formally and informally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Language Requirements
Spanish: Full professional proficiency — required, given the Montevideo base and LATAM stakeholder engagement.
English: Full professional proficiency — required for global team collaboration.
Portuguese: A plus.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant on Oracle ERP implementations.
Minimum of 6+ years of focused experience on Oracle Cloud Fusion LATAM localization across multiple countries and regulatory domains.
Demonstrated experience delivering Oracle localization solutions across at least four of the seven in-scope LATAM jurisdictions (Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia).
Experience across at least two full Oracle Cloud implementation lifecycles, from requirements through to hypercare, with LATAM localization as a primary workstream.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent relevant field.
Oracle Cloud certification in one or more Finance modules is advantageous.
Experience in commodities trading, energy, mining, or another intensive trading industry is strongly preferred.
