The Oracle Apps & Extensions Specialist will provide production support to maintain environment stability, coordinate code migrations, and resolve first-line incidents for the GSI Solutions team to meet business demand for the GEA portfolio.

Role accountabilities:

  • Proactively engages with Key Business Users to receive feedback, gauge satisfaction with system, integrations, and address issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with GSI Automation & Integrations Teams and project teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of middleware systems.
  • Collaborate with GSI Teams to deliver efficient and well-run processes.
  • Monitor Oracle the various Application & Extension services across production services to detect and escalate incidents according to SLAs.
  • Triage and resolve L1 incidents and service requests; escalate to L2/L3 with clear diagnostics and replication steps.
  • Coordinate and execute approved code migrations/deployments in nonproduction and production environments via appropriate Helix ticket types.
  • Validate deployments and run post deployment smoke tests to confirm service stability.
  • Proactively monitors performance, resource utilization and promptly respond to alerts to ensure availability and performance meet business demands.
  • Coordinates with release manager the schedule of maintenance & release activities across environments, teams, and vendors, identifying and resolving conflicts to minimize risk of disruption.
  • Track incident trends and provide input to continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities where better fixes, more secure approaches, standardizations, automations, or upgrades should be considered and report them in regular status updates to GSI Solutions Director.
  • Partner with other Towers, Lanes, and teams to achieve goals and exceed business expectations.
  • Collaborate with the GSI team to develop Oracle SOP and KBA.
  • Partner with the GSI team to provide Oracle service disruptions announcements and EU communications.
  • Coordinate with release management with GEA teams and Tech CAB.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Oracle Applications and extension layers, including at least 2 years working with Oracle Cloud application services.
  • Extensive experience in Oracle Applications, extension layers and cloud application services within complex global technology environments, with a proven ability to support service excellence and successful platform delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, implementing and supporting cloud application services within multinational, multi-vendor environments, ensuring effective delivery and stable operational performance.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle application architecture, extension frameworks and cloud service principles, with the ability to support effective configuration, integration and ongoing service management.
  • Proven track record of delivering service excellence through strong stakeholder relationships, responsive support and effective coordination of internal and external resources.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, manage expectations and engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to support complex application environments in global, matrixed organizations, balancing business needs, service quality and operational priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues, identify root causes and implement practical solutions in a timely manner.
  • Experience supporting change, release or implementation activities within Oracle application environments, ensuring minimal disruption and effective adoption of new capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation, support process compliance and contribute to high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborative working style that promotes accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence, aligned with the Arcadis Leadership profile of being curious, driving success and igniting passion.
  • Degree level education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or another relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Oracle Cloud or related professional certifications are desirable, together with experience supporting Oracle application services in complex global environment.
