Job Description

Oracle Apps DBA

KalSoft is looking to hire an experienced Oracle Apps DBA who will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle database environments. The primary objective is to ensure high availability, optimal performance, security, backup and recovery, and seamless operation of enterprise applications and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Oracle EBS (R12.1.3 / R12.2.x) and Oracle RAC databases.
  • Monitor database performance, storage, and system health.
  • Perform database backup, recovery, and cloning activities using RMAN and Data Pump utilities.
  • Apply Oracle database and EBS patches, upgrades, and security updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database, application, and workflow-related issues.
  • Manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and database monitoring tools.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies and controls.
  • Support functional users and development teams with technical issues and minor enhancements.
  • Coordinate with Oracle Support (MOS/Metalink) for issue resolution and service requests.
  • Prepare monthly reports, issue logs, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and user training sessions as required.
  • Ensure compliance with SLA requirements and provide support during critical incidents.

Skills Required

  • Strong experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12.1.3 / R12.2.x).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC 19c or higher.
  • Expertise in Oracle Database Administration and Performance Tuning.
  • Experience with RMAN Backup & Recovery and EXPDP/IMPDP.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Advanced Security, Database Vault, and Audit Vault.
  • Experience with Oracle Solaris, Linux, and Unix environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and support mission-critical systems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Oracle Certified DBA certification preferred.
  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle RAC environments.
  • Experience in enterprise application support, database administration, and system maintenance.
