Position: OR Charge Nurse/ Nursing Manager

Company: Hospital in Libya

Contract Details: Full time, 48 hours per week

As the OR Charge Nurse/ Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the OR department, including coordinating patient care, managing staff schedules, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. You will also work closely with the OR team to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the OR department, including patient care, staffing, and resource management.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.

- Collaborate with the OR team to establish goals and objectives, and monitor progress towards achieving them.

- Manage staff schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to staff members.

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment, and make recommendations for purchases as needed.

- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, and take corrective action as needed.

- Act as a liaison between the OR department and other departments within the organization.

- Participate in budget planning and management for the OR department.

- Provide leadership and support to the OR team, and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.

- Active nursing license in the state of employment (Home country).

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an OR setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of OR procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Proficient in computer systems and electronic medical records.

- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
