About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen within the Food & Beverage Division in Shenzhen, OPUS 388 Restaurants Service Captain is responsible for providing service that goes beyond the guests’ expectations by anticipating their needs and performing service-based standards set forth by management, handling special requests and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. OPUS 388 Restaurants Service Captain reports to OPUS 388 Restaurants Service Supervisor.

As OPUS 388 Restaurants Service Captain, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service throughout the dining experience
  • Assist guests courteously and efficiently
  • Communicate with kitchen for any guests’ special request and dietary requirements
  • Handle guest complaints promptly, ensuring that any resolved / unresolved incidents are reported to the manager in a timely manner
  • Make sure that all products served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it
  • To wish each and every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming
  • Following the posted opening and closing duties and side work sheet

As OPUS 388 Restaurants Service Captain, we expect from you:

  • Minimum 1 year’s relevant working experience in similar capacity
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required
