What you'll do:
In this 32-hour-per-week role, you’ll provide comprehensive, patient-centered eye care for a diverse patient base. Your work will include conducting thorough eye examinations, assessing visual acuity and ocular health, prescribing corrective lenses, and creating personalized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs. You’ll diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, diabetic eye care, macular degeneration, myopia management, and urgent concerns such as corneal abrasions, flashes, and floaters. You’ll also use advanced diagnostic technology, including OCT, HVF, and fundus photography, while maintaining accurate medical records, supporting HIPAA compliance, educating patients on eye health and preventive care, and collaborating closely with optical, clinical, and administrative team members to deliver a seamless patient experience.
Who you are:
You’re a compassionate and clinically confident Optometrist with a valid Oregon optometry license and a strong understanding of ophthalmic physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient-centered eye care. You communicate clearly, build trust with patients of all ages and visual needs, and feel comfortable diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions. You also enjoy collaborating with opticians, technicians, scribes, and administrative team members to create a positive, seamless patient experience. Most importantly, you bring a genuine passion for helping people protect and improve their vision, a commitment to continuous learning, and an interest in contributing to a supportive team culture and the continued success of a respected community practice.
