Job Description

At Macha Family Eye Care, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by helping patients protect, preserve, and better understand their vision. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality eye care, building lasting patient relationships, and growing your career in a trusted, community-focused practice, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a team committed to clinical excellence and personalized care in Indianapolis and Anderson, Indiana.

Why join us?

Founded in 1999, Macha Family Eye Care has built a strong reputation for delivering comprehensive eye care to patients in Indianapolis and Anderson, Indiana. The practice is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, commitment to patient education, and focus on helping each individual better understand their vision and long-term eye health. Joining the team means becoming part of a trusted, growth-minded practice that values clinical excellence, meaningful patient relationships, and a supportive environment where doctors are empowered to provide attentive, high-quality care while continuing to grow professionally.

What you'll do:

As the Associate Doctor of Optometry, you’ll provide comprehensive eye exams and deliver specialty services including medical optometry, sports vision, and specialty contact lens fittings in a busy, patient-centered practice that values quality over quantity. Working 35–40 hours per week, you’ll use advanced technology such as Zeiss Visual Fields and OCT, a Topcon corneal topographer, and Optomap to support thorough, high-quality care. This is an opportunity to join a team known for its commitment to exceptional patient experiences and recognized as Madison County’s best optometrist and eye care facility for seven consecutive years.

Who you are:

You are a care-centered optometry professional with experience or a strong interest in contact lenses and medical optometry, driven by a passion for delivering personalized care that helps patients feel informed, at ease, and confident in their vision health. Comfortable caring for a diverse patient population, you bring sound clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a polished, professional presence to every interaction. You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, are comfortable using advanced diagnostic technology, and value building long-term relationships with patients and teammates alike. You stay current on advancements in optometry, embrace opportunities to grow your skills, and are excited to contribute to a respected practice known for exceptional service, strong community relationships, and continued growth.

Why you'll love Indianapolis and Anderson:
Indianapolis and Anderson offer the best of both worlds: the energy, amenities, and career opportunities of a major metro alongside the charm and close-knit feel of a welcoming community. In Indianapolis, residents enjoy a vibrant mix of dining, arts and culture, professional sports, family-friendly attractions, and expansive parks and trails, while Anderson offers a more relaxed pace with local shops, community events, historic character, and easy access to outdoor destinations like Mounds State Park. Together, these communities provide a well-rounded lifestyle with convenient commuting options, diverse neighborhoods, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy both city excitement and everyday comfort.

You’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • 401K
  • Paid time off
  • Production bonus
  • Malpractice
  • Continuing Medical Education
  • Potential for partnership/ownership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Optometry license in the state of Indiana
