Optometrist – Fishguard, Pembrokeshire

We are working with a high-quality independent optometry practice in Fishguard to recruit an Optometrist into a recently refurbished, well-invested clinical environment.

Set within a characterful listed building in a picturesque coastal town, the practice combines modern clinical capability with a strong community focus and an emphasis on delivering a premium patient experience.

The Practice

The practice has undergone significant recent investment and offers a modern, spacious clinical environment, including multiple testing rooms and a large retail space.

It is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology, including OCT and DNEye scanning systems, supporting high-quality, detailed clinical assessments and personalised patient care.

You will be joining an experienced team of Optometrists within a collaborative, supportive environment, with a strong emphasis on clinical standards and patient experience.

The Role

The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive eye care within a well-structured, patient-focused setting. Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed eye examinations with extended testing times
• Managing a broad range of patient needs, including low vision and enhanced services
• Working within a community-focused model with continuity of care
• Utilising advanced diagnostic equipment to support clinical decision-making
• Contributing to a high standard of patient experience and service delivery

Clinical Environment

• Testing times of approximately 30 to 45 minutes
• Four testing rooms within a modernised practice
• Advanced equipment including OCT and DNEye scanner
• Optix practice management system
• Established patient base with strong community ties

Requirements

• GOC-registered Optometrist
