Includes the creation, development, design, and improvement of products, equipment, facilities, services, standards, and procedures in all engineering fields. The Mechanical area is responsible for analysis and maintenance of mechanical systems. Includes testing and monitoring of mechanical systems, support in the development of design specifications, implementing new production processes, and modifying equipment to improve cost effectiveness, reliability, and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Our team develops optical test and measurement equipment for research labs and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for an opto-mechanical engineer with experience across a broad spectrum of optical components, modules, systems, and technologies. The candidate is expected to have a strong background using optical and mechanical design tools for prototyping, modeling, and simulation, with experience in automation and optical analysis tools. The ideal candidate will have experience across the complete product life cycle: concept, research, development, and new product introduction. In addition, customer interaction, technology roadmap development, and standards body activities will be required.
