
Salary/Terms: 200 Day Contract. Salary based on experience and education level per NCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Classroom teacher means a professional educator who has a direct instructional or counseling relationship with students and who spends the majority of his or her time in this capacity.
The Option Pathway/Career Plus Teacher provides academic, career readiness, employability skills, and high school equivalency preparation to students enrolled in the West Virginia Option Pathway or Career Plus program. The teacher works with at-risk students to support successful completion of program requirements leading to a high school diploma and career readiness credentials. The teacher collaborates with counselors, administrators, career technical education instructors, employers, and community partners to ensure students remain on track toward graduation and postsecondary success. The teacher serves as an advocate and mentor while maintaining a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
