About the Opportunity

At Metcash, we’re transforming how IT operates—making it simpler, smarter, and more customer-focused. We’re looking for an IT Optimisation Manager who can improve processes, drive change, and partner with stakeholders to deliver real impact.

In this role, you’ll work closely with IT leaders to identify opportunities to standardise and simplify processes, embed change, and uplift capability. You’ll also act as a trusted advisor, coaching leaders through change initiatives while leading key optimisation projects end-to-end.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Partner with IT stakeholders and offshore teams to identify and implement process improvements across IT demand, contracts, time sheeting, and controls, including driving AI-led productivity initiatives
  • Lead IT tools rationalisation and optimisation projects end-to-end, acting as Project Manager to deliver standardisation and efficiency outcomes
  • Coach leaders and project teams on change management practices, ensuring successful adoption and maintaining the IT Change Heat Map for visibility and alignment
  • Collaborate with Change & Communications teams and support PI Planning to deliver a consistent, customer-centric IT experience

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in IT environments, with a focus on projects, process improvement, and transformation
  • Proven ability to lead change initiatives in complex environments
  • Solid understanding of change management frameworks (Prosci, AMPG or similar preferred)
  • Confidence to coach, influence, and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas
  • A proactive mindset with strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in learning, capability uplift, and stakeholder engagement
