Job Description

ABOUT US

Retail is in our DNA and at Cotton On, we believe every part of our business plays a role in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Our Avalon DC is where the scale of our business comes to life. It’s our largest global distribution centre - 50,000 sqm, 1,000 team members, and the critical link between our product and our customers across 700 stores and 8 brands.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an Optimisation & Continuous Improvement Manager to drive operational excellence across our national Distribution Centre network. Reporting to the Head of Distribution, you'll lead the strategy and execution of site optimisation, inventory integrity, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational projects that enhance safety, productivity, service, and scalability.
Leading a small team, you'll partner closely with operational leaders to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and implement sustainable improvements across our DC operations. From optimising site layouts and stock positioning to delivering large-scale projects and embedding continuous improvement capability, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future performance of our distribution network. If you're energised by finding smarter ways of working, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering real business impact, we'd love to chat!

· Demonstrated success delivering continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects that drive measurable business outcomes.
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and optimisation principles.
· Experience applying Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
· Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive change across multiple teams.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen, including experience evaluating ROI and business outcomes

While we’re working hard today, our eyes are always on tomorrow. Together we help to make tomorrow a better place for our stores, customers, work mates and each other.

About Cotton On Group

Our purpose has always been to make a positive difference in people’s lives, and our team and customers are at the heart of this.

We started in 1988, with our first ‘shop’ being the boot of a Ford Bronco parked at The Beckley Market in Geelong, Australia. Inside? A stack of denim jackets; it was the start of something big.

Our vision is to take our eight Aussie lifestyle brands to the world, delivering Good along the way. And we know that our responsibility goes far beyond selling great products. We work to prioritise people and the planet, while making products our customers love, ones that we can all be proud of.

We’re a diverse bunch from all around the world who love to think big. We live for a challenge and give anything a go. We work hard and pride ourselves on creating an environment free from hierarchy and ego. One that promotes creativity and self-expression, allowing our team to do what they do best. We look after our people 24/7 – not just when they’re at work, but outside of it too. Since day one, our team members have been like great mates to us – and you look after your mates. We support and empower our team members to be the healthiest versions of themselves. And we keep it real, always.

We’re customer-obsessed in everything we do, and believe us when we say the obsession is real!

When you join our team, you’re part of something bigger – you’re here to be inspired, to learn, to do the right thing, and above all else, to make a positive difference.

20,000 people. 8 brands. 20 countries. 1,300 stores (and counting) and one life-changing Foundation. That's Cotton On Group.
