Job Description

Optima Trainer

Application Deadline: 12 June 2026

Department: Corporate Services

Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time

Location: Priory IT Offices

Compensation: £30,000 / year

We are seeking an experienced Optima Trainer to support the implementation of a new rostering platform across the organisation. Working with the Project Office and external contractors, you will deliver training, support system adoption, and assist with the development of policies, SOPs, and training materials.

Experience using Optima (Loop/SafeCare) is preferred; however, experienced IT Systems Trainers will also be considered.

This role requires extensive travel across the UK, including regular overnight stays away from home, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. A car allowance is provided. The role is offered on a 6 months fixed term basis.

What you'll be doing

You will support technical discussions with Systems Specialists to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements, while also assisting in the development of rostering policies, SOPs, and system processes to become a subject matter expert in the platform. The role will involve delivering training to colleagues to ensure they are fully competent in their role requirements, alongside providing both remote and onsite support to successfully embed knowledge and drive system adoption across the organisation.

You will help promote consistency and best practice in the use and integration of systems, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and supporting the Project Office with the coordination of training sessions, workshops, meetings, and events. The role also involves travelling nationally to deliver face-to-face training and monitoring progress against project plans, escalating any risks or non-compliance where required.

What you'll bring to the role

You will have the ability to quickly learn and master new IT systems, using your knowledge and experience to confidently train and support others. You will be able to understand, interpret, and effectively communicate policies and SOPs, ensuring colleagues feel supported throughout the learning process. Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to coaching and training others are essential, alongside an understanding of how system configuration can support operational effectiveness and best practice.

Experience or knowledge of Healthcare and/or Adult Care systems, processes, and policies would be advantageous, as would working knowledge of RL Datix/Allocate HealthRoster, BankStaff, Loop, and SafeCare.

What we will give you in return

We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
