Where there’s life, there’s Mercy.

Where there’s care, there’s You.

Through the battles and the breakthroughs, we're there. Where will you be?

For over a century, our incredible teams have provided care for people at every stage of life. Across our aged care homes, hospitals and research facilities, and across numerous cities and towns, we’re on a journey to keep growing our impact for the next hundred years.

As a for-purpose organisation with over 10,000 dedicated, compassionate people, we continue to offer more services and deeper care than ever before. With Mercy, you’ll have the chance to make an impact and gain experience that’s hard to find elsewhere.

At Mercy Health, it’s all about taking what we have and making it better.

To do that, we need you.

Join us at Mercy Health, and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.

About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, you’ll become part of a proud history built on over 100 years of expertise, skill and care. As Optima Integration Lead, you'll use your hands-on integration leadership, enterprise architecture expertise, and stakeholder coordination skills to drive one of our most significant technology transformations — replacing our rostering platform across approximately 9,000–10,000 employees spanning hospitals, community, and aged care settings.

Reporting to the Optima Project Manager, you'll own the end-to-end integration design, build, test and operational readiness of all interfaces between Optima by RLDatix and Mercy Health's enterprise system landscape — including Workday HCM and PayGlobal.

What you’ll bring

It takes a special kind of person to work in healthcare or community services. If you are genuinely interested in helping others, then you’ll find you can build something here and find your place in a team of 10,000 hearts.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading the integration workstream on large enterprise system implementations as the accountable integration owner, including self-delivering without heavy reliance on a system integrator partner.
  • Strong technical understanding of integration patterns — real time, batch, file-based, API/REST and event driven — with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Functions and Azure Monitor).
  • Experience integrating workforce management, HRIS or payroll systems with broader enterprise platforms, including producing integration design documentation, data mapping and error handling specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate integration delivery across distributed teams, including internal technical resources, system owners and product configuration vendors.
  • Experience leading integration testing across system, end-to-end, regression, parallel payroll and performance testing phases, including defect lifecycle management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively across technical, vendor and business audiences.

Highly regarded but not essential:

  • Experience integrating with Workday HCM and/or PayGlobal payroll.
  • Familiarity with Optima by RLDatix or comparable WFM platforms (Kronos, Humanforce, UKG, Allocate).
  • Healthcare or aged care sector experience with awareness of 24/7 service delivery considerations.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform or ARM) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check
