Job Description

Introduction

ASML US brings together the most innovative minds in science and technology to develop advanced lithography machines that are essential to producing faster, more energy-efficient microchips. These machines enable the world’s leading chipmakers to create smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Headquartered in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, ASML operates across 18 U.S. locations, including Chandler, AZ; San Jose and San Diego, CA; Wilton, CT; and Hillsboro, OR.

As a Master Planner at ASML, you play a key role in ensuring reliable delivery of advanced technology that powers the world’s most innovative chips. Your work helps align production plans with ASML’s mission to push the boundaries of semiconductor manufacturing. By creating robust planning strategies, you enable smooth operations across global teams and contribute to the future of high-tech innovation.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and execute planning strategies that balance business needs, costs, and risks. You will collaborate across supply chain, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to ensure delivery of reliability and meet output and inventory targets.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing business opportunities, costs, and risks.
  • Lead end-to-end planning across all demand types and align plans across supply chain, factories, and sourcing.
  • Drive the monthly Demand & Supply (D&S) cycle with an 8-quarter horizon to optimize module output.
  • Contribute to long-term manufacturing readiness (MR) capability assessments (10-year horizon).
  • Execute and monitor the D&S plan, manage deviations, and control critical paths and decision gates.
  • Improve planning processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Define and manage optimal buffer strategies across the value chain to reduce inefficient inventory.
  • Support reverse planning for field operations (“As-New” planning).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or degree in related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a production environment, preferably in a high-tech, low-volume, discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Master Planning, S&OP, and MPS.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; financial acumen for decision-making.
  • Experience leading or participating in supply chain improvement projects.
  • Experience with NPI planning preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Results-driven with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Proactive, assertive, and analytical with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrates initiative in identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role may require working in both office and factory environments. Office responsibilities include sitting, walking, and using a computer. Factory responsibilities may include working in cleanroom environments with full protective gear, handling equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Travel may be required based on business needs.

About ASML

Who are we?

ASML is an innovation leader in the global semiconductor industry. We make machines that chipmakers use to mass produce microchips. Founded in 1984 in the Netherlands with just a handful of employees, we’ve now grown to over 40,000 employees, 143 nationalities and more than 60 locations around the world.

What do we do?

We provide chipmakers with hardware, software and services to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography. Our lithography systems use ultraviolet light to create billions of tiny structures on silicon that together make up a microchip. We push our technology to new limits to enable our customers to create smaller, faster and more powerful chips.

Who are our people?

While you may think that only engineers and mathematicians work at ASML, you'll be surprised to find out that our people come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Across ASML, we have dedicated teams that manage customer support, communications and media, IT, software development and more. Every team in the company is essential for pushing our technology and the industry forward.

If you love to tackle challenges and innovate in a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment with all the flexibility and freedom to unleash your full potential, ASML is the place to be.
