HILL VISION SERVICES is a busy ophthalmology practice with offices in the Lake St. Louis, Creve Coeur, MO and Glen Carbon, IL areas. Our team members are the backbone of our practice and are the ones who make the patient experience an amazing one.

We are seeking a experienced Optician for our Creve Coeur and Lake St. Louis, MO offices that is hard-working and efficient, who can see the work that needs to be performed and complete all tasks efficiently.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current optician license required
• Associates or Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
• Two years of experience as an optician in a busy practice required

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must have proficient computer skills
• Must be able to problem solve
• Must be detailed oriented
• Must have a working knowledge of post-operative Medicare, Medicare Replacement and Medicaid plans
• Must have excellent communication skills, proper grammar and writing capability
• Must be team-oriented
• Must be self-directed, highly motivated, able to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to accurately and efficiently handle multiple projects at one time
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
• Must possess a caring, patient and friendly attitude
• Must be familiar with all forms associated with the patient’s medical record (paper / electronic)
• Must be familiar with the use and operation of optical software
• Must be completely knowledgeable with lenses, frames and all optical supplies
• Must have a comkplete understanding of optical inventory
• Must have outstanding sales ability
• Wide-ranging knowledge applicable to eye care and current trends in eyewear
• Must have experience in conflict resolution
