Optician Responsibilities:

• Take precise measurements of patients’ eyes and faces to ensure proper fit and comfort of eyewear.
• Interpret and fill prescriptions provided by ophthalmologists or optometrists.
• Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients.

What You Bring to Refuah:

• A high school diploma and completion of a formal training program in opticianry
• Attention to detail for accurate measurements and fittings
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with patients and other employees
• Ability to project a pleasant and professional image
• Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards
• Ability to operate optical lab equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of various lens types and eyewear products.
