The Opportunity:
- Work with fellow Manufacturing Engineers on a wide variety of Aerospace products.
- Produce Optical Components comprised of various substrates.
- Support Manufacturing Operations on the production floor.
- Develop, design, and analyze Tooling and Fixtures to support the product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Driving a product line from start to finish through the manufacturing and assembly process.
- Working hands on with floor operations in optical fabrication and optical assembly manufacturing areas.
- Supporting the engineering team with CAD modeling and drawings.
- Supporting the engineering team with technical writing for work instructions and process documentation.
- Presenting ideas to fellow engineers and members of program management.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Degreed Engineer.
- Experience in Mechanical CAD design (Creo Parametric, Solidworks, or equivalent) producing 3D models and drawings.
- Experience with GD&T tolerance stack up analysis and interpretation.
- Experience with technical writing for work instructions.
- Basic familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Basic background in Materials Science.
Desired:
- Prior experience with optics or glass manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Participation in engineering-based clubs or groups outside your curriculum (Formula SAE, Engineers for a Sustainable World, etc.).
- Previous fulltime, co-op student, or internship experience is a plus.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$72,700 - $149,200
