Position :Optical Engineer
Department :Business Development Medtech in Asia
Reports to : Senior Business Development Manager
Responsible for the optical design, process development, performance testing and technical optimization of fiber optic components, fiber assemblies and optical connection products. Lead new product introduction, mass production technical support, collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete product development, ensuring the optical performance, dimensional accuracy and stability of fiber products meet customer and industry standards.
·In charge of optical design for fiber optic connectors, ceramic ferrules, fiber jumpers and passive optical components.
·Conduct testing and data analysis on core optical parameters, including insertion loss, return loss, attenuation and concentricity.
·Design and develop fiber lasers, high power signal combiners(HPC) and optical systems to meet cost, qualityand project time line.
· Complete prototype verification, reliability testing and failure analysis, and deliver corrective plans & technical improvement reports.
·Responsible to transfer the prototype design to production line and solve the related technical issues.
·Design and make the drawing with 2D & 3D AutoCAD & SolidWorks & UG for customer

·Familiar with the operating method and test principle of optical test instrument (e.g power meter, spectrometer ).
·Compile technical documents such as optics technical specifications, work instructions, test standards and engineering changes and validation plans .
·Evaluate optical performance of raw materials and suppliers, and provide technical review and incoming material support.
·Communicate with domestic and overseas customers & global teams, provide professional optical technical support for technical consultation and customized demands.
·Bachelor’s degree in field with 3+ years’ experience , major in Optoelectronics, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
·Familiar with optical fiber transmission principle, fiber structure and optical component production process .
·Proficient in optical testing equipment, with strong capability in optical testing, data analysis and troubleshooting.
·Prior experience in precision parts, ceramic processing, fiber grinding and micro copper assembly is preferred.
·Good English reading and writing skills, be able to cooperate with cross-department and international teams.
· Familiar with the drawing software AutoCAD & SolidWorks & UG
· Self-motivated, strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills
