Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports on inventory valuation, production, and various other costs.
  • Assists and analyzes trends in manufacturing and general business conditions.
  • Analyzes, develops strategies, and assists in the execution of key initiatives to maximize absorption, improve production and manufacturing efficiency, and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and production.
  • Assists in the development of long-term goals and strategic objectives for an organization.
  • Develops and implements new procedures, policies, and paperwork to simplify and improve operations.
  • Works with all department managers to provide root cause analysis for process issues and provide solutions to reduce scrap and increase throughput.
  • Assists with KPI development and metrics for calibration and monitoring performance against standards.
  • Completes special projects for all department managers.
  • Completes special projects for the Operations Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of work experience, preferably in a fast past manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient using Glovia or other manufacturing ERP system.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Partners with various departments to accomplish objectives.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Evening and occasional weekend work may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting and use of a computer, keyboard and printer.
  • Frequent standing, reaching with arms and hands, climbing or balancing.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending and lifting.
  • Moderate walking and use of stairs.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures over 100 degrees.
