ICI Route Supervisor
Location: 8050 Woodbine Avenue, Markham
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time
Reporting To: District Manager
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Compensation: $86,000 per annum

The ICI Route Supervisor responsible for scheduling and adjusting routes, managing daily operations and driver performance, and leading team meetings and training. Ensures safety compliance, handles incident reporting, and monitors productivity metrics. Acts as a key liaison with municipal staff while supporting strong customer service and effective team leadership.

Responsibilities:
As an ICI Route Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Scheduling routes as per the operating budget, as well as accurate record and time keeping for our York Region commercial collections contract.
• You will ensure the timely collection of residential/commercial materials, provide excellent customer service, and work within the specifications of our service contract with the District of Markham and our commercial customer base.
• The ability to demonstrate your leadership, build positive employee relations and develop a team spirit is critical to your success in this role.
• You will also be the primary line of communication and contact between Municipal staff and Miller Waste Systems and must be comfortable in dealing with all levels of Municipal staff members.
• The tracking of productivity, completion of reports and the ability to hold employees accountable to complete their tasks in a productive and safe manner will be part of your daily assignments. Compliance with all Provincial and MWS health and safety policies and procedures is a must.

Competencies & Qualifications:
• Successful candidates must possess a DZ Driver’s Licence and a clean driving record.
• You may be required to fill in ICI or residential collections on an exceptional or emergency case.
• You must have excellent attendance and performance records, as well as proven team building skills. Interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are mandatory.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook are a requirement for this position.
• Must be available to work Saturdays when required.
• Preference will be given to those with familiarity with Greater Toronto Area.
