General Description/ Primary Purpose:
Conduct research on the integration of renewable energy technologies for sustainable and resilient energy systems, including microgrids, solar PV, hydrogen energy, fuel cells, and energy storage. Responsibilities include developing advanced materials, evaluating energy conversion systems, performing electrochemical and materials characterization studies, and supporting clean energy innovation projects.
Job Functions:
The position requires a highly motivated and organize employee who is responsible for the following tasks:
Develop and evaluate advanced materials for energy conversion and storage applications.
Conduct research on fuel cells, hydrogen production, and renewable energy systems.
Perform materials characterization and other analytical techniques.
Support microgrid, energy resilience, and utility-focused research projects.
Analyze experimental data prepare reports and contribute to research publications.
Collaborate with academic, industry, and utility partners on sustainable energy initiatives.
Assist with student mentoring and clean energy workforce development activities.
