MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have general knowledge of building repair and maintenance
  • Must be willing and able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be willing and able to work 20 hours a week
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not ‎limited to, a ‎Level II background check and drug test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with repairs in a commercial building or a long-term care / hospital environment

This is an OPS (Temporary) position that deals with the physical plant; grounds; utility; and maintenance functions of the Nursing Home to ensure a clean, pleasing, and safe environment. Incumbent will report to the Utilities and Maintenance Superintendent.

  • Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the buildings do not deteriorate
  • Provides routine repair services to defective equipment, repairs physical plant deficiencies, resolves routine work orders, assists with the assembly, delivery, and installation of facility equipment
  • Documents actions and outcomes of preventative maintenance efforts, repair services and other routine actions to assist the Maintenance Superintendent in maintenance of a concise record of services rendered
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, assists the Maintenance Superintendent with maintaining a focus of safety and accident prevention throughout the facility
  • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
