MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have experience with Medicaid
  • Must be fluent in the English language: reading, writing, speaking
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays if needed
  • Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, & Word)
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not ‎limited to, a Level II background check and drug test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a health care setting
  • One (1) year of experience in a health care setting in a business office setting
  • Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care/120-bed skilled nursing facility

The incumbent works under the supervision of Business Manager II and is responsible for processing Medicaid applications to meet the individual needs of residents.

  • Interviews residents, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to assist with financial needs
  • Demonstrate strong auditing, investigative, research, and organizational skills, as well as having up-to-date knowledge of the Florida Medicaid program and be able to accurately apply software programs needed to complete investigations and audits
  • Process information with HMO or third-party insurance for Medicare and Medicaid
  • Assist in filling out applications for insurance
  • Maintains resident related databases and clinical records as requested
  • Meets all governmental requirements for social service documentation
  • Assist in application process for new admissions
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

This is an OPS (Temporary) Position.
