of DutiesThis is a professional position, OPS Government Operations Consultant I, in the Public Access Services Office of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. This position provides contract oversight assistance to the Business Manager and Planning & Design program staff. This position is responsible for monitoring the administrative and programmatic terms and conditions of Planning & Design contracts working parallel to our office Contract Mangers. It requires a high degree of judgement, management skills and attention to detail.
The incumbent is expected to work as an effective member of the office management team and independently with limited supervision. The team is an important part of helping the Office and the Agency achieve its mission of conserving wildlife for their long-term well-being and the enjoyment of people. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability in performing duties related to contracts, purchasing, invoicing and financial oversight in accordance with State of Florida laws, standards, policies, and procedures.
