College Prep Tutors are a part of our Learning Services Program. This program's purpose is to advocate for academically at-risk student-athletes in order to provide access to an equitable education. The College Prep Program supports student-athletes who are academically underprepared in English, Reading, and/or Math, as determined by Florida's mandated standardized testing requirements. Through corequisite learning support, students enroll in credit-bearing, college-level courses while receiving additional academic support concurrently with their coursework.
College Prep Tutors provide individualized academic support to student-athletes enrolled in College Prep courses. Tutors work with students in one or more subject areas, including English, reading, and math, to strengthen foundational academic skills, support engagement with college-level coursework, and promote academic progress and independence.
