
We are looking for experienced Mechanical Maintenance Leaders to join our team with the Pulp & Paper Division in various roles including:
• Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader
• Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent
Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader
• Supervise a crews of mechanical tradespeople throughout the mill
• Provide leadership in the areas of safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality and best practices.
• Facilitate problem-solving and troubleshooting activities and working collaboratively with team members in all departments
• Includes involvement with cross-functional strategic initiatives and training & development activities.
Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent
• Oversee the planning, coordination and execution of the daily departmental maintenance activities
• Provide leadership, training, coaching, and development to the area maintenance teams
• Communicate short/long term operational strategies and initiatives to your team
• Optimize internal processes and drive continuous improvement to meet objectives
• Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance parameters such as: PM compliance, maintenance cost, and scheduled compliance
• Ensure quality and timeliness completion of work while adhering to the maintenance budget
• Adhere to labour contract and ensure compliance
• Ensure all safety and management policies are adhered to and foster an environment that is focused on safety and recommend process improvement initiatives
• Ensure consistent adherence to ISO standards for quality and environmental management
• Completed post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent, or Journeyman Status in a mechanical trade with equivalent progressive supervisory experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Pulp & Paper or other industrial environments.
• Supervisory experience in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
• Safety leadership knowledge and experience.
• Maintenance Management Professional or work towards such a designation would be considered an asset.
• Exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
