Job Description

Location: Da Nang, Vietnam

As the Asia Operations Program Manager Contractor, you will be the vital on-the-ground presence responsible for ensuring the efficient, high-quality, and timely execution of mass production for Customer's micromobility hardware across Asian manufacturing partners. You will be instrumental in translating US-based design and product requirements into repeatable, compliant manufacturing processes. This is a critical operational role that directly impacts the quality and availability of our product fleet. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in manufacturing operations, quality management, and operational program execution within the Asian supply chain ecosystem.

In this highly visible and autonomous role, you will be embedded within the supply chain, working in close partnership with Asian factory leadership, US-based Program Management, Quality Engineering, and Supply Chain teams. You will drive alignment across international time zones and cultures, resolving production bottlenecks, managing the implementation of sustaining engineering changes, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. Your ability to operate independently, communicate across technical and cultural boundaries, and drive rigorous execution will be paramount to success.

If you are passionate about operational excellence, have a proven track record of managing manufacturing programs in Asia, and are driven by making a tangible, global impact, we encourage you to apply.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational and production execution matters with Asian Contract Manufacturers and key suppliers.
  • Manage and communicate weekly production schedules, build risks, and capacity constraints to the US Program Management team.
  • Drive the implementation of corrective actions for all Post Ramp Qualification (PRQ) issues, ensuring robust manufacturing controls are in place to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain and Logistics to optimize the flow of materials and finished goods from Asia to global markets.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing performance (e.g., OTD, Yield, Quality Metrics) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and execution between US-based Engineering and the Asian manufacturing site teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations role, specifically working with hardware contract manufacturers in Asia (e.g., China, Taiwan, Vietnam).
  • Proven success in managing NPI or Mass Production ramp-ups for consumer electronics or complex hardware products.
  • High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable due to the location and daily interaction with suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma concepts), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) across different time zones and cultural backgrounds to resolve high-priority production issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex operational challenges and solutions to both technical factory staff and executive stakeholders.
