An Ophthalmic Imager II requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Clinical

  • Support efficient and effective clinic flow of patients
  • Assist with photography needs including biometry, ultrasound, fundus photos, FA, OCT, VF, and topography.
  • Upload and verify all patient images are correctly attached to the EMR
  • Add diagnostic imaging to the clinical chart note with corresponding documentation for billing and coding purposes.
  • Resolve queries regarding imaging
  • Report any issues or concerns regarding imaging equipment or process to clinical leadership
  • Report to clinic leadership the need for additional inventory of medical or office supplies
  • Complies with all practice procedures and protocols. Complies with all State and Federal regulations.

Administrative

  • Report inventory and supply needs to leadership timely and as needed for supply ordering
  • Participate in daily team huddles and regularly scheduled meetings as planned and/or required.
  • Understand and accept responsibility to report potential or suspected errors to supervisor or Compliance manager
  • Contribute to the team effort by completing additional tasks or projects as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude consisting of cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy, and professionalism

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience as an Ophthalmic Photographer or Imager preferred
  • CRA / ROUB / OCT-C / CDOS certification eligible
  • Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight or manager presence
