About the role:

The Rail Bound team is currently seeking a Operator to join them on a 14 Days on, 14 Days off Roster based in Port Hedland. Reporting to the Rail Bound Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating rail equipment across the network, assessing track condition and interpreting track geometry.

Duties:

• Prepare machines for use, including pre start checks, inspections and minor maintenance
• Monitor equipment wear rates and create notifications to enable maintenance schedules
• Capture work order history and time recording in SAP
• Assist maintenance and engineering teams when required

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure (or above)
• Extensive experience in track machine operation, tamping, regulations and track measuring vehicles
• Ability to use rail analytical software and computer systems
• Advanced understanding of track geometry
