About the role:
This position is responsible for melting all types of butter, oil, liquor and rework. The Melting Operator will also be trained on mixing, shipping and / or receiving. The Melting operator ensures food and employee safety in their daily routine.
Key responsibilities:
Sets up room and equipment for melting at the beginning of the shift.
Observes the process to ensure continuous production flow.
Validates which product (Cocoa Liquor, Butter, Coconut Butter, or rework) needs to be melted.
Melts products and directs them to the correct tank.
Enters ingredients used into SAP and maintains housekeeping in the work area.
Communicates production updates with incoming Shift Supervisor and crew.
Reads and coordinates tank scales, ensuring proper measurements.
Follows safety procedures, wearing PPE and performing daily equipment inspections.
Completes daily safety checklists and may assist in other production areas.
Ensures compliance with GMP and HACCP programs and all safety policies.
About you:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Computer experience a plus
Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
Hoist operator training.
Lift Truck Certification.
Must be able to work in a hot environment and move freely around the building
Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
Compensation: Hourly Rate: $25.535
Working Hours: Continental Night Shift 7:00pm to 7:00am
