DuPont’s Fayetteville Works site has exciting opportunities for Operator/Mechanic(s)

The Operator/Mechanic is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting chemical process equipment.

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:​

• Load/unload trucks, and other containers to manage raw material and product inventories.

• Perform mechanical tasks and preventive maintenance

• Issue work orders and prepare job plans, to prep and maintain equipment and facilities.

• Review and revise job procedures

• Schedule work and manage overtime

• Operate various types of mobile equipment

• Participate in emergency response activities

• Know and adhere to safety, environmental and housekeeping responsibilities and rules

• Serve on the site Emergency Response Team

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS​

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Two years of work experience in a chemical, mechanical, electrical or similar process (may include manufacturing, maintenance, electrical, and/or instrumentation) OR a two-year technical certification or Associate’s Degree (or higher) in a related field (preferably in manufacturing technology, maintenance, electronic, electrical, or engineering).

• Valid Driver’s License

• Willingness and ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime, under various conditions including some outside work in all weather conditions

• Demonstrated computer skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of math; the ability to understand trend charts and scale reading

• Demonstrated planning and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to self- manage and function as a member of a diverse work team

• Willingness and ability to walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, and work at elevated heights.

• Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Willingness and ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment), including an air-supplied respirator, during daily work schedule

• Ability to use common hand tools

Preferred:

• Maintenance skills/Mechanical aptitude.

• Previous work in a chemical/manufacturing environment
