
As our Operator in Training, you will take part in a 9–12-month program that prepares you to become a MISO System Operator supporting grid reliability across a 15‑state region. You will build core knowledge of the energy industry and power system through a structured curriculum and development activities. Once you complete the training program and pass your NERC exam, you’ll join our Generation & Interchange team as your first assignment in your System operations career.
You will build meaningful connections with experienced control room operators and industry professionals who will share their knowledge as you progress through the program. You’ll work within a collaborative team focused on common goals and shared results.
You will successfully complete the required certifications and training to become a desk-qualified control room operator and work.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $75,000-$85,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
