An over operator is responsible for cooking bacon correctly. Required to do set up and start ovens. Load and unload products. Continuously checking the product to prevent overcooked or under cooked product. Attention to detail for temperature, timing, and quality control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of cooking yields on different products.
  • Change liquid smoke tanks.
  • Clean cavity roller bars.
  • Preform cook yield testing.
  • Knowledge of what to do when there are high cook yields and low cook yields.
  • Preform quality checks.
  • Check temperatures.
  • Transmitter adjustments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment thought the shift.
  • Follow all facility GMP guidelines.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedure when problems arise.
  • Product weight adjustments.
  • Frequently read and is aware of transmitter screens.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents.



Qualifications

Education and

Experience:

  • High school or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and health standards.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Ability to maintain a positive work attitude while performing.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination for handling and adjusting bellies quickly and precisely.
  • Ability to focus for extended periods and consistently spot quality differences.
  • HACCP certified.
  • Able to read license plate and documents.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects and or tools.
  • Will be working around moving mechanical parts.
  • Employee is exposed to loud noises and is required to wear protective gear to prevent injury.
  • Required to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Hot and cold surroundings.
  • Fast paced production environment.
  • Must wear PPE.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting.

MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER

NOTE: This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
