The Operator II - Automation Technician, will safely operates a variety of automatic equipment and monitors processes to assure proper application of materials. Functions as a team member and contributes to departmental production and quality goals. Performs minor troubleshooting processes and minor preventative maintenance on machines in accordance with operator’s procedures and checklists.Verify parts are in compliance with quality standards as outlined in operating procedures.

You will be based in our Springfield, TN location.

Schedule 5:15am to 1:45 pm Monday through Friday day, depending on production needs.

Your main tasks:

  • The Process Technician is considered an expert of manufacturing processes and equipment.

  • Responsible for adjustments, equipment set-up, autonomous maintenance, daily reports, and training equipment operators to assure production plan is accomplished in a safe, efficient, and productive manner with a high degree of quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Operate various forms of equipment and teach new employees' proper operation of the equipment.

  • Responsible for daily productivity in their equipment and data analysis.

  • Lead changeovers and equipment adjustments based on quality and cycle time requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, plus at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial setting.

  • Experience operating and setting up manufacturing equipment, making adjustments, performing changeovers, and troubleshooting basic equipment issues.

  • Ability to monitor production, quality, and performance, keep accurate records, and resolve routine production or equipment problems.

  • Experience training or supporting machine operators and following work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet production targets, and work flexible schedules when needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to work directly with insulation.

  • Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

  • Able to stand up to seven (7) hours at a time.
