We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Driller Operator to join our team at Hail Creek Open Cut. Reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor, you will provide safe and efficient operation of production drilling equipment to meet mine production and organisational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate drilling rigs and equipment to drill blast holes, water wells, or exploration holes as required.
  • Interpret drill plans, maps, and specifications to accurately position and drill holes.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections and notify maintenance for minor repairs on drilling equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor drilling operations for safety, equipment performance, and compliance with specifications.
  • Record drill data including hole depth, angle, and geological information accurately.
  • Work closely with blasting and Technical Services teams to ensure timely completion of drilling and blast preparation.
  • Adhere to all site safety policies, regulations, and environmental standards.

About You:

  • Previous experience and competencies operating production drilling equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Developed understanding of risk management and safe work procedures.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
  • Previous experience in the industry.
  • Relevant qualifications.
  • Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
  • Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
