Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Rebond Operator B 2nd shift at our Russellville, KY, manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for Rebond where we shred scrap foam and put a binder in it to produce carpet cushion.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to:

1. Ensure all equipment on the production line are operating properly on a daily basis.
2. Must constantly communicate with all the other employees to ensure safety and make sure processes are followed at each operation.
3. Must have the knowledge to set proper settings on all the controls.
4. Maintain a clean working environment.
5. Pass an audiometric and pulmonary test on an annual basis.
6. Complete HAZMAT training.
7. Assist with preventative maintenance.
8. Operate a forklift proficiently.
9. Monitor machine gauges to ensure optimum efficiency.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Your additional responsibilities as Rebond Operator B will include:

• Assist with inventory, as required.
• Make sure the department is clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required/basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• One or more years machine operator experience.
• Certified forklift driver.
• Must pass an audiometric hearing test and pulmonary test on an annual basis.
• Reliable - Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-ins with little notice.
