Key responsibilities (May include but not limited to):

  • Presentable uniform appearance is required at all times
  • Comply with company safety and security programs
  • Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping of the area assigned
  • Blend/mix and package hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals
  • Comply with ISO 9001 procedures, work instructions and checklists
  • Perform equipment set-up verification of blending and packaging equipment
  • Operate filling equipment
  • Inspect/clean filling equipment
  • Blend/mix materials in accordance with lab supplied formulas
  • Label containers
  • Draw samples as required or requested
  • Inspect incoming/outgoing tank trucks, railcars and containers
  • Organize/rotate stock
  • Operate forklift truck safely
  • Perform operator maintenance on equipment
  • Participate in spill cleanup
  • Communicate need for bulk materials as appropriate
  • Communicate need for containers
  • Rinse/wash returned containers (liquid only)
  • Initiate Service Reports
  • Maintain required logs/appropriate forms

Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):

  • High School education or equivalent (GED)
  • Production related experience and/or training
  • Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Knowledge of chemical hazards and labeling requirements
  • Knowledge of chemical segregation requirements
  • Familiar with company quality system concepts
  • Knowledge of appropriate regulatory/safety requirements
  • Good communication skills
  • Forklift experience

OJT (Required within the initial employment period – varies per position and experience):

  • Applicable ADAGE skills
  • Service Report system
  • Problem / crisis resolution
  • Familiar with the Responsible Distribution concepts
  • Understand all applicable procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of products and business strategies
  • Knowledgeable of plant emergency and security procedures
  • 24 hour HAZWOPER course
  • Training requirements from the New Employee Checklist
