Job Description

  • Monitors and operates the PVC production process, including raw material charging, polymerization, blowdown, stripping, drying, and bulk loading of resin; monomer recovery and storage of VCM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates equipment for the Manufacture, stripping, separation, drying, and loading of PVC resin within guidelines of the (JWI) Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Operates support equipment for the PVC process; including cooling tower, chilled and hot water, demineralizing and reverse osmotic process water, and steam generation.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork and inspections for shipment of bulk PVC cars and unloading of VCM monomer to storage.
  • Maintains housekeeping in the PVC plant and cleans up after job tasks using proper disposal procedures.
  • Completes other routine or non-routine duties as necessary to meet Production Dept. goals in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost-effective manner.
  • Issues General Work Permits and prepares equipment for maintenance and contractor personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 year college degree. 3-5 years of industrial experience preferred.
