Perform repetitive jobs on machines
Monitor machines constantly
If the machine develops minor repairs operators fix them
In an automated set, up they may have to operate multiple machines simultaneously
May have to enter number of items produced by the machine every hour or in a shift
Notify Plant Manager within 15 minutes of downtime
Assist in maintaining and cleaning machines before and after each shift
Assists with the training and guidance of new and existing crew members
May drive electric carts and be required to climb ladders
Requirements:
Able to lead by setting a good example and engaging a team to achieve goals
Must be reliable; Regular attendance and punctuality is a requirement of this position
Must be:
Approachable; Able to communicate in a friendly, professional and courteous manner
Self-motivated and possess strong problem-solving skills
Willing to work independently; Have good organizational skills and attention to detail
Willing to work evening, holidays and occasional weekends as scheduled by Supervisor/Manager
Able to work harmoniously with other employees from a variety of backgrounds
Must be able to:
Stand/walk 8+ hours, bend/squat
Lift up to 20 pounds; Up to 50lbs for some jobs
Push/pull loaded plant carts weighing up to 200 lbs; 300 lbs. for some jobs
Work with small equipment or willing to learn these skills
Adhere to safety policies and procedures (safety-conscious)
Adapt to changing working conditions
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
Minimum of one-year experience as machine operator
Must be able to speak English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
