What You'll Do:

  • Maintain safe and efficient operations of the UAN 28-0-0(Urea Ammonium Nitrate) and POLY 10-34-0 (ammonium phosphate liquid) at the terminal site
  • Handle shipments for both incoming and outgoing product fertilizers, record data, and make operational corrections as required
  • Operate and monitor equipment
  • Operate computerized and non-computerized control systems
  • Perform regular terminal site maintenance
  • Oversee the Offloading of Dry and Liquid Products for UAN and Poly production,
  • Load Liquid Fertilizer into Trailers using the loadout system
  • Record and enter data readings
  • Manage inventory on inbound and outbound products
  • Site Administration duties and SAP
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Ensure Contractors coming on-site are following Nutrien safety protocols
  • Complete safety permits and any additional safety processes as required
  • Adhere to local, provincial, and federal governmental regulations and standards
  • Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, cutting weeds, pruning, etc

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must live within a 65-kilometer radius from the site
  • Strong safety mindset; willingness to proactively identify potential hazards, adhere to safety protocols, and foster a culture of psychological safety
  • Ability to approach challenges with a positive and constructive attitude, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and contribute to a productive team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Possess intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and SAP
  • Works with minimal supervision and is self-motivated
  • Willingness to learn with continuous improvement mindset
  • Interest or experience in operating equipment including skid steer, ariel lift, and lawn mower
  • Available for overtime and to be “on-call” to support Terminal during non-typical working hours as required
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally for training courses and/or to assist at other terminals
  • Instrumentation/electrical experience an asset
  • Mechanical experience with Pumps, augers, and conveyors with the ability to maintain and diagnose potential issues considered an asset
  • Knowledge of fertilizer production and handling considered an asset
  • Process Safety Management (PSM), experience an asset
  • This position includes a 90-day probationary period, during which the employee's suitability for the role will be assessed"
