Job Purpose
Entry Level. Employee will learn to combine raw materials according to standard formulations, procedures, and specifications in order to supply coating equipment with quality mixes and materials.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop working knowledge of:
    Raw material names
    Raw material applications
    Raw material locations
    Coding systems
    All mixing techniques
    Waste handling
    Department Safety practices (grounding & bonding, etc.)
    Become familiar with operating the solvent recovery unit.
    How to read a job order.
    How to find and follow specifications.
    How to check viscosity.
    How to prepare laboratory samples.
    Learn to physically combine raw materials to produce the specified quality and quantity of “press return” mix.
    Record and report raw materials usage accurately.
    Return any unused mix from equipment, record amount, label properly, return to stock.
    Store all raw materials and containers properly and in orderly fashion.
    Make periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
    Maintain good housekeeping practice.
    Maintain a safe working environment and personal safety record by adhering to established safety policies and sound safety practices.
    Carry out additional tasks and training as directed by Team Lead, Supervisor and Manager

Level of Autonomy

Ability to read and interpret written information.
Work in a team environment

Job Requirements
High School Diploma
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience and forklift experience
