Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Leadership (Tech & Ops Integration)

• Lead the end-to-end Technology & Operations function for Elland business, including integration under a unified leadership structure • Own and drive integration objectives across engineering, technology, and operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and the acquisition business case • Act as the primary interface between business, technology, and operations teams

2. Deployment & Execution • Drive ongoing and new deployments across China and SEA markets • Ensure delivery excellence across BAU and transformation initiatives • Translate strategic priorities into execution roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes

3. Capability Building & Scale • Define and implement internal capability requirements across: o People (team structure, hiring, leadership development) o Systems (platforms, tools, automation) o Processes (standardization, scalability, governance) • Build scalable operating models that support long-term growth and efficiency

4. Technology & Product Leadership • Provide technical and product direction across data, platforms, and digital capabilities • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, data, operations) to deliver high quality, scalable solutions • Drive adoption of modern technologies (AI/ML, automation, data platforms, GenAI where relevant) • Ensure strong linkage between technology development and commercial/business outcomes • Drive strong collaboration across Technology, Engineering, Operations & Vendors in alignment with achieving business goals

5. Stakeholder Management & Governance • Manage and influence senior stakeholders across regions, including MD-level leaders • Act as a key escalation point and ensure alignment across global and regional teams • Establish governance mechanisms to track performance, risks, robust operational and delivery KPIs

6. Regional Leadership (China & SEA) • Lead cross-functional teams across China and Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment and collaboration • Work closely with existing China & SEA E-Commerce / Delivery Ops teams • Navigate regional complexities including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and operational challenges

7. Continuous Improvement & Transformation • Drive process excellence, digitization, and automation initiatives • Continuously improve cycle times, quality, and cost efficiency • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• 12+ years of experience across Technology, Operations, or Tech-enabled business environments • Proven track record in leading large, cross-functional teams and complex programs

• Strong experience in technology platforms, data systems, and digital transformation • Exposure to e-commerce, data-driven products, or platform-based business models preferred

• Exposure to vendor collaboration preferred

• Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and influence at executive level

• Experience working across China and/or Southeast Asia markets is highly preferred

• Strong understanding of scalable operating models, systems, and process design Leadership Capabilities • Strategic thinker with strong execution focus

• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proven ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing teams

• High ownership mindset with ability to drive outcomes end-to-end Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel extensively across China and SEA (especially during initial 4–6 months)

• Mandarin proficiency preferred (especially for China-based engagement)

• Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and global teams
