The Driver (Laundry) supports laundry operations by safely transporting associates, company property, and linen carts between designated locations. This position operates company vehicles, including 26-foot box trucks, in city driving conditions to provide transportation from associates’ homes to work locations, within MasterCorp client sites, and between assigned sites. The Driver is responsible for completing linen cart drop-offs and pickups, which may include backing into designated unloading areas and physically loading and unloading up to 18 linen carts per trip, with cart weights varying based on operational needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Safely transport associates and/or company property via utility carts, car, van, truck, and/or bus to areas where they are needed

  • Loading and unloading multiple carts of linen

  • Guarantee that associates and property are protected and secured during transportation

  • Ensure that vehicles are maintained and cleaned to company standards

  • Report any deficiencies of vehicles to manager

  • Report immediately any case of accident, injury or damage of associates, vehicles, and/or property to manager.

  • Keep records of transportation as required by MasterCorp standard operating procedures

  • Follow MasterCorp’s Vehicle Safety Program as stated in MasterCorp’s Safety Manual

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Eighteen months of full-time work experience directly related to the role.

  • Valid state issued driver’s license

  • Sufficient knowledge of traffic laws and obeys them.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have an acceptable driving record

  • Must be able to pass drug screening

  • Must be a safety conscious person

  • Must be focused, confident, and observant

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent daily travel; limited overnight travel and across state lines on a case by case basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in an operations environment with odors and/or dust and cleaning and laundry chemicals. Additionally, this job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets.

The Driver (Laundry) is not limited to the above-mentioned job description and may be requested to do additional tasks as directed by MasterCorp Management.

Physical Requirements:

This position frequently requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions. Employee must be able to perform the

essential functions of the position satisfactorily, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job.
