Purposeful client work with real community impact
Be part of market-leading projects with global scale and complexity
Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters
Join our Operations & Transformation team in Canberra and work alongside Defence leaders on complex, high-priority challenges that have real national significance.
Working across transformation and operational improvement engagements, you'll help solve complex problems for Defence and broader national security clients. That could mean supporting capability-related programs, shaping procurement advice, developing policy and governance approaches, or bringing structure and momentum to project delivery in high-stakes environments.
The work you do will help clients make better decisions, improve delivery confidence, and respond to shifting strategic priorities. You'll turn analysis into clear, useful outputs - from reports and recommendations through to client-ready material that helps senior stakeholders take action.
Along the way, you'll collaborate closely with Partners, Directors and project teams who work at the intersection of operations, industry and domain expertise. With a mix of client engagement, problem-solving and delivery responsibility, this is a role that offers real variety and the chance to keep building your consulting toolkit.
Deloitte's Operations & Transformation team sits within Tech & Transformation and helps major organisations improve how they operate, deliver and transform. You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:
Experience working within, or consulting to, the Australian Department of Defence or broader National Security community
A minimum AGSVA NV1 clearance
Project management or analytical experience within the One Defence Capability System
Experience developing procurement advice for Commonwealth agencies
Exposure to Defence or National Security policy and governance development
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships
Analytical capability and confidence turning complex information into clear, digestible outputs
Prior consulting experience and a proactive, curious approach to learning and problem-solving
