Join us as a Operations Transformation Lead

  • Play a key leadership role in building the Operations Transformation team, focused on strengthening the bank’s operational capability by identifying simplification opportunities and delivering specialised support for bank-wide initiatives
  • You’ll lead a cross functional, critical portfolio of work that has a global scope
  • It’s a chance to take on a high exposure role and advance your career with us
  • You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend at least twice a week working from our London, Manchester or Edinburgh office

What you'll do

You’ll lead a team of transformation professionals driving our operations transformation, identifying problems, designing solutions, and setting them up for delivery, always with clear customer outcomes at the centre.

You’ll lead a strategic portfolio of work, taking accountability for all centrally run activities including Operations FTE tracking and delivery of the bank-wide productivity tool, while building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across multiple functions and franchises and influencing decisions in line with business objectives.

You’ll also be accountable for the delivery of financial and non-financial strategic objectives across the portfolio, working closely across operations, technology, and data & analytics teams to identify and implement streamlined solutions.

It’ll also be your responsibility to:

  • Design and shape new business opportunities into proposals and execution ready initiatives
  • Drive decision making around the resourcing of portfolios in collaboration with senior colleagues and in partnership with stakeholders
  • Establish and manage a governance framework appropriate to the complexities of the initiatives, making sure that all deliverables satisfy the requirements, and they adhere to the agreed governance framework
  • Identify the programme risks and business risk appetite, taking accountability for risk management, assessing and understanding the impacts of other programmes and the material risks in other areas
  • Empower and lead teams, setting goals and objectives and carrying out regular individual assessments and appraisals, aligned to our performance management framework, and support capability development

The skills you'll need

You’ll need to hold a programme management qualification and an MSP certification.

You’ll also need:

  • A background in managing and controlling costs to a budget
  • Experience of delivering enterprise transformation that support the business strategy and its growth agenda
  • Expertise in designing and delivering outstanding customer solutions with real world outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills interacting with enterprise level leadership
