JOB SUMMARYThe Operations Trainer supports and works under supervision to plan and coordinate complex training and educational programs for UT Southwestern Medical Center. Candidate assists in the development of effective training materials (including visual aids and manuals) to support classroom activities for the Revenue Cycle Department team. Conducts/facilitates and maintains responsibility for the effectiveness of assigned training sessions. The Operations Trainer will provide training support for all new employees in Revenue Cycle. Work from home - Applicant must live in the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. All training and work will be done primarily from home but there may be occasions when the Trainer does come into the office. To be discussed in more detail during the interview. Shift - 8-hour days, flex shift, Monday through Friday. Can begin between 5am-9am. To be discussed in more detail during the interview.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, education, computer science, or related field or
Associate's degree in business administration, education, computer science, or related field (Two-year college will not suffice without a degree) or
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years' Experience in related field with bachelor's degree and
1 year Experience in the use of training methods, techniques and materials with bachelor's degree or
3 years' experience in the use of training methods, techniques and materials with associate's degree or
5 years' experience in the use of training methods, techniques and materials with High School Diploma and
1 year working with EPIC software inclusive of above requirements (For technical training positions) and
1 year working in a call center and/or customer service inclusive of above requirements (For customer service training positions)
Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
JOB DUTIESPlans, organizes, administers, and conducts training and educational programs. Confers with management and line supervision to determine need for, and scope of programs.Develops curriculum, lesson plans or other appropriate methods of presentation to ensure that all staff development educational goals are met.Conducts training sessions for new hires and existing employees on current revenue cycle software, including software upgrades, and/or customer service-related offerings.Prepares training manuals, materials and visual aides.May conduct role-playing activities to develop skills (e.g. negotiation, teamwork and conflict management).May liaise with managers and support on-the-job coaching /mentoring (e.g. how to handle difficult patient calls).Assists in the development of new hires training courses, including communication and patient financial experience skills.Identifies individual and team skills gaps.Assesses the impact of each educational course on staff performance and client satisfaction.Schedules new hire and refresher training sessions.Maintains updated records of training curricula and material.Assists in the research, design, and development of training curriculum for a broad-based targeted employee population.Determines project scope, designs, and delivers training programs targeted for specific organizational needs.Supports departmental retreats and/or team building activities.Conducts analysis and contributes to implementation of metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training curriculum; provides recommendations on future training offerings.Provides one-on-one, business driven and employee focused, organizational development consultation to department managers, directors, and executive level management.Attends professional meetings, seminars, and conferences.Performs other duties as assigned.SECURITY AND EEO STATEMENT
